Jean Dieuzaide

Dieuzaide's career began in the August of 1944 when he began photographing Toulous, his home town, and began working as a photojournalist. Although famous for his other genres of photography, his portraiture work is still very interesting. His work was based in his home town of Toulous, and he closed his studio in 1986. Information from 20th century photography, museum ludwig cologne.

I really like Dieuzaide's portraiture work as I feel the fact that the images he takes in the environment have a stronger feel than if he'd done them in a studio. His images are of a different approach to others and the personality of the subject is shown in the images really well, for instance the one of Dali below. I feel I could gain a lot of inspiration from looking at this work and finding another way of looking at my subjects and photographing them in an individual way.
